The intention of this book is to help guide you while you or a loved one is fighting Coronavirus, so you can listen to your symptoms, think through which organ may need extra help, and choose the right self-help action, like a lymphatic massage, a supplement, or medical help in response. It is becoming clear that scientists do not have all the information in terms of symptoms and treatment and hospitals only take in the most severe cases. My aim is to prevent symptoms from becoming this severe.
It is also clear that despite the best intentions of health gurus, remedies for the cold and flu are not enough. In preparation for this book, and while fighting my own infection, I have researched remedies that have helped previous infections like SARS, AIDS, malaria, Herpes, and MERS. I also read reports from doctors in China who integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine with western science. Finally, I assembled a list of all the different tools that might be a useful arsenal for fighting the virus based on a variety of symptoms--because the lungs are not the only area that can suffer. I paid particular attention to teaching people how to listen to their own symptoms and assess which organ needs attention, and which support option would be best. I define the different medical paradigms so people can finally understand the differences between vitamins, minerals, Chinese herbs, and so many more categories. I also review products that helped me, and include a bit of the "diary" of my struggle. I strongly believe that we all need to learn how to nourish and heal our own body, even though I equally believe we should call a professional doctor for help. Hopefully this book will help you navigate through this trying time. There's also a section for caregivers, and extra pages in the back to record your symptoms and the supplements/actions you take. Please be aware that I am not a doctor, but I fought for my health by researching and compiling as much knowledge as I could find to create this book so hopefully it can help you. Otherwise, I would be spending my days and nights advising friends and never reaching enough people.
